Ceremony to be held at Korean War Memorial

(Wednesday, November 8/06)-- Councillor Mary Wile said today that a Remembrance Day ceremony will be held Saturday at the Korean War Memorial in Stratford Way Park, Clayton Park West.

The ceremony will be conducted by the Korean War Veterans, of Halifax, and the Korean Association of Nova Scotia.

Councillor Wile said residents are welcome to attend and to place a wreath or poppy in memory of a loved one who died in a war.

A reception will be held following the ceremony at the Korean Church Hall, near the corner of Oxford Street and Quinpool Road. (Behind the Petro Canada Service station)

When:    Saturday, November 11, 2006

Time:      10:50 a.m.

Where:    Korean War Memoiral Park, Stratford Way, Clayton Park (located on the north side of Lacewood Drive, across from the Keshen Goodman Library)
