Councillors Organize Graffiti Awareness Session

(Wednesday, November 8/06)-- Councillors Linda Mosher and Stephen Adams today urged residents of the Armdale, Spryfield and Purcell’s Cove areas to attend a municipal graffiti awareness session planned for tomorrow evening.

Members of Halifax Regional Police and HRM's Community Response Team will make a presentation regarding the negative aspects graffiti can have on a community and the level of social decline that can occur as a result of graffiti.

“HRM recognizes graffiti as an ongoing problem, and it requires a whole community approach to rid each neighbourhood of this criminal activity,” Councillor Mosher said. “ All stakeholders, both private and public, need to be involved.”

Where:   St. James Anglican Church, 2668 Joseph Howe Drive (at the Armdale Rotary).
