Presentation Regarding CityWatch Community Safety Program

(Thursday, January 25/07)-- Members of the media are invited to attend a presentation regarding HRM’s CityWatch program, which is a public safety/emergency telephone advisory system for residents.

EmergencyAvtex is the supporting company for the HRM CityWatch Program.

The goal of the session is to inform and answer any questions invited guests may have about the capabilities of the CityWatch Program, which HRM presently owns.

Councillor Gary Martin, a former member of the Halifax Regional Police, was instrumental in establishing the CityWatch program during his time at the Burnside Community Policing Office.
