Happy Japanese Little New Year!

(Friday, January 26, 2007) - Sunday, January 28th, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, HRM and Saint Mary’s University are throwing a Japanese Little New Year celebration in the McNally auditorium off Robie Street on Saint Mary’s campus. Admission is free and all are welcome. There will be Taiko drummer performances, martial arts demonstrations, calligraphy and origami tabes, crafts, food, games, songs, dancing and door prizes!

This Japanese Little New Year celebration is part of Saint Mary’s International Development Week, and is the kick-off for HRM’s celebrations in 2007 of the 25th anniversary of our sisterhood with Hakodate*, Japan. It’s a great family event; come welcome in the Little New Year with us (and you don’t even have to stay up till midnight!).
