Recreation registration for Spring/Summer begins Tuesday

(Monday, February 26, 2007) - It may be cold outside, but now is the perfect time to start planning for you and your family’s spring and summer. Registration for all HRM Spring/Summer recreation programming begins on Tuesday, February 27 at noon.

HRM offers hundreds of quality and affordable recreation programs and/or summer camps throughout the municipality’s recreation centres and HRM beaches. Be sure to sign up early for your favourite recreation and leisure programs as they fill up quickly. HRM Community Recreation Services promise something for all ages and interests!

How to register? Three registration options are available to you including:
* calling our recreation hotline at 490-6666
* visiting your local recreation centre. A complete listing of the Centres can be found in the Blue Pages, Municipal Government Section of your Aliant telephone directory.
* registering online at www.halifax.ca/RecConnect .

The printed version of the Recreation Catalogue is now available. If you would like to receive a recreation catalogue by mail, call 490-7210 and one will be sent directly to you. For more information, call your local recreation centre or visit us online at www.halifax.ca/recreation.
