Citizens invited to participate in Public Forum III on Urban Design
(Friday, April 13/07) - Halifax Regional Municipality is seeking public input on the future look of architecture and feel of public spaces in HRM’s Regional Centre, which includes the Halifax Peninsula and Dartmouth within the Circumferential Highway.
Citizens are invited to take part in an interactive workshop and to attend presentations and public viewings taking place next week. This is the third of five forums planned as part of HRM’s 18-month Regional Centre Urban Design Study known as HRMbyDESIGN.
By examining four specific areas, Forum III will explore how the urban design vision adopted by Council earlier this year translates into actual development on specific sites. These demonstration sites are located in the areas of Quinpool Road, Gottingen Street, Dartmouth Shopping Centre, and Dartmouth Cove.
Presentations will highlight the work produced on the study to date, which includes the urban design vision and neighbourhood case studies,. Also, they will offer citizens the opportunity for ongoing project input and to speak with the study team.
