Portion of Shore Drive Closed to Traffic

(Tuesday, April 17/07) -- In a PSA issued yesterday, it was incorrectly stated that a portion of Shore Drive in Bedford, from Fort Sackville Road to Wardour Street, would be temporarily closed to traffic due to construction.

In fact, the portion of the road to be closed is from Hatchery Lane to Fort Sackville Road (Corrected version below)

Motorists are advised that a portion of Shore Drive, in Bedford, will be closed to traffic later this week due to road construction.

New paving, new sidewalk, storm sewer and water main replacement are being carried out in the area over the next two months.

As a result, that portion of Shore Drive from Hachery Lane to Fort Sackville will be closed to traffic, effective Thursday, April 19, and remain closed until May 3.

Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution when travelling through the construction zone, and if possible, to choose another travel route until the construction is completed.
