18 Fire Fighters Hired by Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency

Female Firefighter Compliment Increases from 9 to 22

(Thursday, May 10, 2007) - After completing a lengthy and stringent recruitment process eighteen new firefighters will commence their employment with Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency on Monday, May 14 / 2007.

With this hiring, Halifax Regional Fire is proud to be increasing our female career firefighter compliment from 9 firefighters to 22.

All 18 firefighter recruits will be sworn in at a ceremony:
