Sackville Community Clean Up Event

(Thursday, June 7, 2007) -- The Sackville Community invites you to show how much you appreciate your community by joining your neighbours as they clean up litter during Sackville Proud this Saturday, June 9th.

This community clean up event is made possible through the generous support of the following groups: Love Sackville, Cobequid Community Health Board, Sackville Rivers Association, Kinsmen Club, Atlantic Geo-Caching Society, Environment Canada, HRM Community Development, Halifax Public Libraries and Fultz House Museum.

Mural artist Melissa Townsend will be recreating a scene from yesteryear as she paints the original Sackville & District Fire Truck on the traffic control box at the corner of Sackville Drive and Millwood Drive. Drop by and watch the artist in progress.

10:00 - 10:30 am -  Registration and pick up of Great Nova Scotia Pick Me Up Kit (compliments of Clean Nova Scotia )
Sackville Public Library, 636 Sackville Drive or Millwood Common

11:00 am - Free BBQs hosted at following locations:
- St. John Vianney Church, 4 Beaverbank Road
- Knox United Church, 567 Sackville Drive
- Sackville Christian Fellowship, 387 Old Sackville Road
