HRM Lifeguard Training This Weekend

(Thursday, June 21/07) -- The summer season will soon be starting and HRM is preparing lifeguards to supervise 23 beaches throughout the municipality.

A training session will be held this weekend at Birch Cove in Dartmouth. There will be 80 staff training to work the 23 beaches throughout the summer season. Training includes waterfront rescue, patron surveillance and First Aid.

When:  Sunday, June 24, 2007 and Monday, June 25, 2007

Time:    9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Birch Cove, 46 Oakdale Crescent, Dartmouth.
