Traffic Delays Expected Due to Victoria Road and Thistle Street Road Work.

(Monday, June 25/07)-- Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays at the intersection of Victoria Road and Thistle Street in Dartmouth during the month of July due to traffic signal upgrades.

The upgrades will include poles, mast arms, signal lights and associated work.

Construction is scheduled to begin on July 9 and be completed on August 3 (four weeks).

The intersection will be maintained as a four (4) way stop with traffic control until the new traffic signals are operational.

There will be no construction activity during the peak hours of 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution when travelling in the construction zone and are encouraged to find an alternate travel route, if possible.
