Street Improvement Work May Cause Traffic Delays

(Friday, June 29/07)-- Motorists are advised to expect delays in the following areas due to construction associated with road/street improvements this summer.

1) St. Margaret's Bay Road (Maplewood to Civic 2382)

Type of work: Installation of new curb and sidewalk with some storm sewer.

Anticipated start date: July 3, 2007

Anticipated completion date: August 17, 2007

2) Bayview Road (Lacewood Drive to Trillium Terrace)

Type of work: The work consists of paving renewal, sidewalk renewal, spot repairs to curb and gutter, adjustment to existing manholes, catch basins and storm sewers. The work also includes the reinstating of all disturbed pavement markings.

Anticipated start date: July 3, 2007

Anticipated completion date: August 17, 2007

Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution when travelling in the construction zone and are encouraged to find an alternate travel route, if possible.
