Chocolate Lake Water Quality Meets Standards

(Thursday, July 26/07) - HRM has been advised that Chocolate Lake, Armdale, once again meets water quality standards for swimming.

Regular testing performed earlier this week by the Nova Scotia Department of the Environment at HRM’s supervised beaches showed high bacteria levels in the water at Chocolate Lake. “No Swimming” signs were posted.

HRM thanks the public for its cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience.

Meanwhile, Oakfield Beach, Grand Lake, Fall River, and Kinsmans Beach, First Lake, Sackville, remain closed to swimmers due to water quality issues.
