Downtown Halifax Road Construction

(Friday, July 27, 2007) - Attention motorists, Harbour Solutions Project related construction has closed Morris Street between Hollis Street and Barrington Street.

The scheduled duration of construction is 2 weeks.

Traffic traveling west on Morris Street will be detoured south on Hollis Street, while traffic traveling east on Morris Street will be detoured north/south on Barrington Street. Truck traffic leaving the port will proceed northbound on Lower Water Street to exit the peninsula. There will be no parking in the work zone. The sidewalk on both sides of the street should remain open at all times. Municipal service disruptions, if required, will be of short duration and affected residents and businesses will be notified.

Please note, all shops and services adjacent to the work zone will remain open during the construction period.

The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7:00am to 6:00pm, with weekends as required.
