Campbell Point Beach Closed to Swimmers
(Wednesday, August 29, 2007) B The HRM-supervised portion of Campbell Point Beach, Brookside, Hatchet Lake is closed to the public due to water quality problems, effective immediately.
Regular testing performed by the Nova Scotia Department of the Environment at HRM’s supervised beaches show high bacteria levels in the water at this lake. “No Swimming” signs have been posted and Beach Program staff will remain on duty during regular hours to advise the public of the closure.
HRM thanks the public for its cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience.
