PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Water Quality Issues Close Russell, Morris Lakes to Swimmers

(Thursday, September 6/07)-- Councillors Gloria McCluskey and Bill Karsten said today they’ve been advised that Russell Lake and Morris Lake in Dartmouth have been closed to swimmers due to water quality issues.

Residents living around and near the lakes have been advised of the high fecal coliform count, and both Councillors urged residents of District 5 and District 7, as well as any visitors who may come to the lakes to swim, to refrain from doing so until further notice.
