Presentation Scheduled to Review Study on Land Use Planning for the Western Shore Bedford Basin

(Wednesday, September 19/07) - HRM and District 16 Councillor Debbie Hum would like to advise residents that an Open House and Public Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 20th to present the draft final report of the study conducted on Land Use Planning for the Western Shore of Bedford Basin.

O’Halloran Campbell Consultants, who conducted the study, will review the work undertaken, the outcomes of the design forum and the first public meeting. They will describe the draft Concept Plan and land use recommendations. Topics will include a multi-use trail, water access opportunities, proposed land use, preservation of views, infrastructure improvements, environmental, historical and cultural opportunities and other related topics. All interested persons are invited to attend, review the materials, ask questions and provide feedback.

“This meeting is an excellent opportunity for residents to provide input into community visioning along the Bedford Highway, in particular, the east side of the Bedford Basin extending from Bedford Waterfront Phase Two, to Hogan's Point in Rockingham“. said Debbie Hum, Councillor for District 16, Rockingham-Wentworth.
