Mayor’s Roundtable on Violence:
Community Roundtables

(Monday, October 29/07) As part of the Mayor’s Roundtable on Violence, HRM residents are invited to join Mayor Peter Kelly and some members of Council this evening for one of the six Community Roundtables on Violence being held throughout HRM over the next two weeks.

The facilitated session will offer residents the chance to provide community-specific feedback on challenges and solutions to violent crime in HRM.

              Parking available in the rear

When:   Monday, October 29
              7 pm

Feedback from the Community Roundtables, as well as comprehensive research, focus group and survey findings, will be presented at the final Mayor’s Roundtable on Violence discussions in November. A detailed report to be delivered this winter that will outline a workable long-term strategy with key recommendations for community stakeholders.

Two Community Roundtables have taken place to date in Sackville and Halifax; others are scheduled in Hatchet Lake (November 1), Porters Lake (November 5) and Dartmouth (November 6).
