Mayor’s Roundtable on Violence:
Community Roundtables

(Wednesday, October 31/07) As part of the Mayor’s Roundtable on Violence, HRM residents are invited to join Mayor Peter Kelly and some members of Council this evening for one of the six Community Roundtables on Violence that are being held throughout HRM this month.

The facilitated session will offer residents the chance to provide community-specific feedback on challenges and solutions to violent crime in HRM.

When:    Thursday, November 1
               7 pm

Feedback from the Community Roundtables, as well as comprehensive research, focus group and survey findings, will be presented at the final Mayor’s Roundtable on Violence discussions in November. A detailed report to be delivered this winter that will outline a workable long-term strategy with key recommendations for community stakeholders.

Three Community Roundtables have taken place to date in Sackville, Halifax and Armdale; others are scheduled in Porters Lake (November 5) and Dartmouth (November 6).
