Continuation of Natural Gas Pipeline Installations Along Cornwallis St.

(Thursday, November 8/07)-- Motorists are advised that Heritage Gas will continue the installation of a natural gas pipeline on Cornwallis Street in Halifax.

The project, which started on North Park Street, will now proceed across Gottingen Street and down Cornwallis Street to the harbour-side of Barrington Street.

To enable this work, Cornwallis Street from the east side of Gottingen Street to the west side Barrington Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Tuesday, November 13 to Friday, November 30.

Maitland Street and Brunswick Street will remain open during this time. Metro Transit routes #5 and #82 will be rerouted. Appropriate arrangements will be made to provide access for local traffic.

Motorists are urged to plan alternate routes for the time of this street closure.
