Councillor Urges Residents to Attend Park Meeting

(Monday, November 19/07)-- District 10 Councillor Mary Wile is urging area residents to attend a public meeting later this week to discuss the future phases of the Stratford Park development in Clayton Park.

Councillor Wile said HRM staff will be presenting a proposed plan of the overall park and is looking for public feedback from area residents.

"During the past year, the park has lost its wasteland looks with the addition of sodding and the construction of the Korean Veteran War Memorial Garden," she said. " However, plans are to extend the existing development and add other park amenities to provide greater enjoyment for citizens of all ages."

Some features being considered for the park are a bocci court and an adjacent pergola, trees, perennials, shrubs, patios, paths and lighting.
