Donated Skates Needed for Community Rink

(Thursday, December 13/07) -- For the third year in a row, the PEP Bro Divas and their supporters will be organizing the construction of an outdoor ice skating rink at Uniacke Square.

The Uniacke Square residents group, with assistance from the local community, Halifax Regional Police beat officers for the area, and the 615 Bluenose Cadet Squadron will be constructing the rink on the George Dixon Field this Saturday..

District 12 Councillor Dawn Sloane said today "The Divas are pleased to have their partnership with 615 Squadron, HRM staff, and the Halifax Regional Police again this year. The newly-constructed basketball courts on the Dixon Field were designed with the rink in mind.
