Commons Rink Flooding Postponed Until December 21

(Friday, December 14/07)- Due to the inclement weather forecast for this Sunday, the volunteer effort to flood the spray pool on the Halifax Commons has been postponed until next week.

Councillor Dawn Sloane said volunteers from the Commons Watch residents' group and HRM staff have re-scheduled the work until next Friday (December 21) at 3 p.m.

Councillor Sloane said the outdoor skating rink will be the first tangible sign of the Commons Watch effort to make greater public use of the Commons throughout the year.

When:  Friday, December 21, 2007

Time:    3 p.m.

Where: Spray Pool (next to the Pavilion) Halifax Commons.
