HRM Community Grants Workshop

(Thursday, January 24/08) --HRM Finance and HRM Community Development staff will host a brief workshop for registered non-profit organizations serving the ethno- cultural community throughout the municipality to explain the program eligibility and application process.

Staff will provide an overview of how to apply for a grant from the HRM Community Grants Program and answer questions from participants. Application materials will be available at the workshop and are available on the HRM web site at

Where to get information, how to fill out an application form, eligible projects and types of expense, examples of funded projects.

6 pm-7 pm      Question Period.

Participants ask questions and share ideas about possible grant applications. Guidance on how to strengthen your application will be provided.

The application deadline for the 2008-2009 HRM Community Grants Program is March 31st, 2008. Applicants must be a registered non-profit society or a Canadian charity.
