HRM Community Grants Workshop

(Thursday, January 24/08) --HRM Finance and HRM Community Development staff will host a brief workshop for registered non-profit organizations serving the ethno- cultural community throughout the municipality to explain the program eligibility and application process.

Staff will provide an overview of how to apply for a grant from the HRM Community Grants Program and answer questions from participants. Application materials will be available at the workshop and are available on the HRM web site at www.halifax.ca.

5 pm-6 pm      Presentation

Where to get information, how to fill out an application form, eligible projects and types of expense, examples of funded projects.

6 pm-7 pm      Question Period.

Participants ask questions and share ideas about possible grant applications. Guidance on how to strengthen your application will be provided.

The application deadline for the 2008-2009 HRM Community Grants Program is March 31st, 2008. Applicants must be a registered non-profit society or a Canadian charity.
