Site Development Work Underway at Mainland Common

(Wednesday, February 6/08)-- Motorists are advised that Thomas Raddall Drive, between the Subway Soccer Facility and the Keshen Goodman Library, will be closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic from February 11 to May 15, 2008..

The temporary closure will allow re-alignment of Thomas Raddall Drive as part of site preparation work for the proposed new Mainland Common Community Centre.

Halifax Regional Council approved a tender last evening to prepare the Clayton Park West site for the future development.

Over the next few months:

the site will be cleared and graded
services and utilities will be installed
Thomas Raddall Drive will be realigned
12 parking spaces for the Keshen Goodman Library will be relocated

During the road closure, access to/from the Subway Soccer Facility and the Halifax West High School will be from Regency Park Drive and access to/from the Keshen Goodman Library will be from Lacewood Drive.
