Pedway to Laws Courts to be Closed for Repairs

(Friday, April 4/08)-- Pedestrians are advised that the pedway connecting George Street to the Law Courts Building in downtown Halifax will be temporarily closed for repairs, effective 8 AM on Tuesday, April 8.

The construction work involves structural repairs, concrete repairs and improvements to the handrails. The work is expected to take approximately two months to complete, so the pedway will not be re-opened for pedestrian traffic until mid-June, weather permitting.

HRM apologizes for any inconvenience and advises pedestrians to seek alternate travel routes until the repairs have been completed.
