4th Canadian Waste Resource Symposium
"Navigating to 60% Diversion "

April 13th to 16th - Westin Nova Scotian Hotel

Bob Mc Donald, host of CBC Radio "Quirks & Quarks"

The 2008 Canadian Waste Resource Symposium hosted by the Atlantic Canada Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America and the Nova Scotia Waste Reduction Coordinators is at the Westin Nova Scotian Hotel from April 13th to 16th. Technical sessions include:
- ethical recycling
- biodegradable bags
- clear garbage bags
- leading municipal waste management programs
- landfill gases-new opportunities
- tours of leading edge recycling & composting facilities
Highlights of the symposium include:

April 14th 9:15 am - Mr. Bob Mc Donald- host of CBC Radio "Quirks & Quarks"
12 noon - The Honourable Mark Parent, NS Minister of Environment

April 15th 12 noon - Trade Show and Exhibits
to 4 pm

April 16th 12 noon - Resource Recovery Fund Board Mobius Awards Banquet
with Sheila Watt-Cloutier, Nobel Peace Prize Nominee
