Alderney Drive Road Construction

(Wednesday, April 30, 2008) - On or about Thursday, May 1st, Harbour Solutions Project related construction will get underway behind the curb line on the west side of Alderney Drive, just north of Prince Street.

The duration of construction is approximately 2 weeks.

This work will allow for final connections to be made prior to commissioning of the Dartmouth wastewater treatment facility.

As this work is behind the curb line/off-street, full traffic flow will be maintained. A section of the sidewalk in this location will be closed and rerouted around the work zone using the existing walking trail network.
The hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, with weekends as required.

There will be no anticipated loss of municipal services to local residents or businesses during the construction of this work.

Motorists are asked to use caution while driving through the work area.

Experienced traffic control personnel will ensure smooth traffic flow. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize impacts.
