Report to Mayor's Roundtable To Be Released

(Thursday, May 22, 2008) Media are invited to attend the release of the Report to the Mayor's Roundtable on Violence and Public Safety on Friday at City Hall.

The Report will be presented to Mayor Peter Kelly, members of Regional Council, and Roundtable stakeholders by its author, Professor Don Clairmont. In addition to facilitating the Mayor's Roundtable on Violence and Public Safety, Dr. Clairmont is also the Director of the Atlantic Institute of Criminology and a nationally renowned expert in the field.

Mayor Kelly initiated the Mayor's Roundtable on Violence in November 2007 to address crime and perceptions of crime throughout Halifax Regional Municipality.
