Hammonds Plains Road Widening Project

(Thursday, May 29th, 2008) - On Monday June 2nd, construction will commence on the widening of Hammonds Plains Road. The project is scheduled for completion by October 20, 2008. HRM's contractor for this project is Brycon Construction.

The work generally consists of the widening of Hammonds Plains Road to 4 lanes, including bicycle lanes on both sides, retaining walls, highway lighting relocation, sign bases, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm sewer upgrades watermain replacement, asphalt gravels and reinstatement from Highway 102 to Innovation Drive.

During the construction there will be occasional lane closures for lateral work.
