HRM Lifeguard Training This Weekend

(Monday, June 16, 2008) - The summer season will soon be starting and HRM is preparing lifeguards to supervise 25 beaches throughout the municipality.

A training session will be held this weekend at Birch Cove in Dartmouth. There will be 80-90 staff training to work the 25 beaches throughout the summer season. Training includes waterfront rescue, patron surveillance and First Aid.

Time:        9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where:     Birch Cove, Dartmouth.
