Point Pleasant Park to Present Comprehensive Plan

(Friday, June 20, 2008) - Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) will be hosting an Open House on June 25th to discuss the Point Pleasant Park Comprehensive Plan. The plan outlines a proposal for the future of Point Pleasant Park, specifically its forest, forts, and shoreline.

The Open House will take place on Wednesday, June 25th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Halifax Grammar School, 945 Tower Road (in the Meinertzhagen Theatre).

The Open House will allow citizens to see an overview of the work completed in the park to date and enable them to meet HRM Staff and the Project Consultants (Ekistics Planning and Design, Dartmouth and NIP Paysage, Montreal). A formal presentation/ overview of the Comprehensive Plan will take place at 7:00 p.m., followed by a question and answer period.
