Spryfield Community Honours Work of the Late Rene Quigley

(Thursday, July 3, 2008) The community of Spryfield will be commemorating the work of the late Rene Quigley with a ceremony on Saturday, July 5th to recognize the wonderful work he did for the community in spearheading the building of the recreation centre and playground in the area of the Spryfield Lion's Club.

"We will be unveiling a sign at the ceremony in appreciation of Rene 's tireless efforts and accomplishments for the community," says Deputy Mayor, Stephen Adams, who is the Councillor for District 18. "The community feels that this is a fitting tribute to a man who did so much to enrich our community."

The ceremony will begin at 11 am on Saturday and the community invites all those who knew Rene Quigley and all those who appreciate his work.
