Burning Ban Lifted

(Thursday, July 24, 2008) - Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency advise residents of HRM that the Department of Natural Resources has lifted the burning ban on open fires due to the significant precipitation in recent days.

HRM residents are encouraged to continue to use caution when having fires in and around woodlands and to ensure you have the means to control or extinguish a fire. Also, be cautious of changing weather conditions, especially wind.
