PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

NATURAL GAS PIPELINE INSTALLATION ACROSS BELL ROAD

(Thursday, August 14/08)-- Motorists are advised that Heritage Gas, in conjunction with its contractor R.B. Sommerville, will continue the installation of a natural gas pipeline on Trollope St. and across Bell Rd. to Summer St. This pipeline will provide service to the Halifax Infirmary Hospital.

To minimize traffic disruption while crossing Bell/Summer/Trollope intersection, Bell Rd. from Trollope St. to Ahern Ave. will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6:15 PM Friday, August 15 to 6:00 AM Monday, August 18. Work will be undertaken on a 24-hour basis in an effort to complete the pipeline installation through this intersection on the weekend.

If necessary to complete the crossing, Bell Rd. will be closed to vehicular traffic again from 6:15 PM on Monday, August 18, to 6 AM on Tuesday, August 19.

Access for emergency vehicles to the Halifax Infirmary will be maintained at all times.

Motorists should plan their alternate routes for the time of this street closure.
