Expect Traffic Delays on St. Margaret's Bay Road

(Thursday, September 11, 2008) - HRM wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians that they can expect delays on the St. Margaret's Bay Road, between the Round-About and Keating Road, beginning Friday, September 12th through Thursday, September 18th . The delays are due to tree removal activity to accommodate the widening of St. Margaret's Bay Road.

HRM apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause.

New trees will be planted in the area to compensate for those removed. Trees planted in the Round-About will be sited such that scenic views of the North West Arm are not blocked and good visibility for motorists and pedestrians is ensured.

A full landscape plan will be posted on www.halifax.ca sometime next week for those who want to see more detail.
