Thanksgiving Day Collection Notice

(Wednesday, October 8/08) B HRM would like to advise residents there will be no regular municipal solid waste collection services provided on Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 13, 2008. Collection of garbage, organics or recyclables normally scheduled on Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 13th will occur the preceding Saturday, October 11th.

The Otter Lake Waste Processing and Disposal Facility, the two Composting Facilities and the HRM Recycling Plant will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 13th but will be open on Saturday, October 11th with normal operating hours.

The Halifax Regional Municipality's residential Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot will be closed Saturday, October 11th but will be open Saturday, October 18th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
