Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency Welcomes New Members

(Tuesday, October 21, 2008) - After completing a lengthy and stringent recruitment process, twenty-one new firefighters commenced employment with Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency yesterday.

The new members were hired to fill vacancies left by retiring members, as well as, to fill new positions approved by Council in 2008.

"This is a very diverse group, with a broad range of experiences and we are looking forward to their positive contributions said Chief Director Bill Mosher. We are really happy to have them join our fire service."
