HRM to Hold Open House to Discuss Bloomfield Centre Master Plan

(Wednesday, November 26 2008) - Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) and the Bloomfield Master Plan Community Advisory Committee will hold a Public Open House to present and discuss the draft Master Plan for the Bloomfield Centre property located in the Northend of Halifax. The Open House is a follow up to a two-part community workshop which was held May 21 and 24th to seek public input and ideas for the future use and built form of the property. This upcoming Open House will allow the public to view the proposed Plan for the site and to provide feedback and input to the Planning team.

WHO:    HRM and the Bloomfield Master Plan Community Advisory Committee

WHAT:    A presentation and public forum to view and discuss the proposed Master Plan for the regeneration and future redevelopment of the Bloomfield Centre property in the Northend of Halifax.

WHERE: The Bloomfield Centre Gymnasium 2786 Agricola Street, Halifax

WHEN:    Thursday, December 4th from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

WHY:      The planning team are looking for public feedback and input into the proposed Master Plan and Vision for the Bloomfield property including:
- Urban design & development objectives
- Community programming & public space objectives
