Reminder to Voters in HRM District 21 - Bedford

(Thursday, May 1/08) - Eligible voters in District 21 ( Bedford) will be going to the polls this weekend to elect a new Councillor. The seat was left vacant earlier this year following the death of former Councillor Gary Martin.

Residents will have the opportunity to vote on Saturday (May 3/08), from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. Polling will be held at Basinview Drive Community School, 273 Basinview Drive, Bedford.

HRM's Election Office will make the returns available to the media and the public on the HRM web site www.halifax.ca, beginning at approximately 8:00 pm. that evening.

Official results will be declared on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, no later than 4:00 pm.
