Cancellation of Collection of Organics and Recyclables for
Monday, January 19th

(Monday, January 19, 2009) Due to poor street and road conditions, the collection of garbage, organics, and recyclables is cancelled today, Monday, January 19, 2009, in most of the Region. The alternate collection day will be this Saturday, January 24, 2009. Residents are reminded to have materials curbside by 7:00 am to ensure service as collection times may vary.

Specifically, the following communities and neighbourhoods with collection services on Monday will be affected: South End Halifax, Woodlawn, Russell Lake area, Hammonds Plains, Upper Hammonds Plains, Upper Tantallon, Pockwock & Stillwater Lake, Hubbards, Queensland, Head of St. Margarets Bay, Hubley, Boutliers Point, Ingramport, Wellington, Grand Lake, Oldham, Oakfield, Enfield, Dutch Settlement, Forrest Hills area, Conrod Settlement, Gaetz Brook, Lower, East, and Head of Chezzetcook areas.

The communities of Port Dufferrin and Ecum Secum area will be receiving collection services today.
