Bridge Closed on the Coles Road, Meagher’s Grant

(Wednesday, March 4, 2009) - The bridge on the Coles Road (Meagher's Grant), which runs between highway 357 and the Wyse Road, will be closed until further notice.

A build up of ice has formed around the bridge and is rising up to the bridge deck itself. As a result NS Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal has closed the bridge by placing jersey barriers on both sides. Signs have been erected at the intersections of the Coles Road and Wyse Road, as well as, the Coles Road and Highway 357, indicating that the road is closed to all but local traffic. No indication at this time as to the duration of the closure.

School buses have been advised.
