Firefighter Welcomed Home by Colleagues at Airport
on Return from Afghanistan - Photo Opportunity

(Thursday, April 16, 2009) - Colleagues from Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency will welcome home one of their own from Afghanistan this Thursday evening. Warrant Officer Barry Bastow, a member of the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team, has been in Afghanistan for the past 6 months. He had taken a leave of absence from his job as a firefighter with Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency. Bastow is a member of the 33rd Service Battalion, Halifax.

Unfortunately, FF Bastow will not be available for interviews, as we are respecting his privacy.
