Reminder on Open Air Burning

(Friday, April 17, 2009) - Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency reminds residents that burning any “domestic waste” (including grass clippings, twigs or leaves) is strictly prohibited within HRM.

Before considering burning, residents are strongly advised to visit our website at www.halifax.ca/fire for a complete list of rules & regulations.
Last year firefighters in HRM responded to over 950 fires related to open air burning. Don’t put your community at risk.
