Thistle Street Road Work to Begin April 27

(Friday, April 17, 2009) - On April 27, 2009, installation of Water Main, Concrete Curb and Gutter, Concrete Sidewalk and Asphalt Renewal on Thistle Street from Victoria Road to Maple Street by Sackville Trenching Ltd. will begin and will continue for approximately 8 weeks.

Road closures for water main installation will occur on Thistle Street from Victoria Road to Slayter Street for the period of April 27 to May 2, 2009 and from Slayter St. to Maple St. on May 4 to May 9, 2009.

The remaining six weeks will be stop and go traffic from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm from Victoria to Maple Street. During the same period there will be curb and sidewalk replacement work occurring on Slayter Street from Thistle to School Street however two way traffic will be maintained at this location. Please expect delays and use alternate routes.
