Dartmouth Greenhouse Open House - May 23, 2009

(Monday, April 20, 2009) - See where the plants are grown for Alderney Landing, Burnside Drive Boulevard, Sullivans Pond, Sackville Heritage Park, Dillman Park and where a plant turtle was hatched. The bedding plants and hanging baskets will be in colour.

Parks & Grounds staff will be offering tours of the greenhouse, displays and demonstrations. There will also be tours of the green roof under construction at the new East Dartmouth Community Centre.

This is a great family activity and an opportunity to meet a Halifax Regional municipality Gardener.
