Construction Update - Thistle Street

(Monday, May 4, 2009) - As of today installation of Water Main, Concrete Curb and Gutter, Concrete Sidewalk and Asphalt Renewal on Thistle Street from Victoria Road to Maple Street by Sackville Trenching Ltd. has begun and will continue for approximately 7 weeks.

Road closure for water main installation on Thistle Street from Victoria Road to Slayter Street is now completed and this section of Thistle Street is now open.
Closure from Slayter St. to Maple St. will occur starting May 5 to May 11, 2009.

The remaining five weeks will be stop and go traffic from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm from Victoria Road to Maple Street. During the same period there will be curb and sidewalk replacement work occurring on Slayter Street from Thistle to School Street, however, two way traffic will be maintained at this location. Please expect delays and use alternate routes.
