Municipal Equipment Display at Grand Parade

(Friday, May 15, 2009) Tens of thousands of dollars worth of municipal service equipment will be on display at the Grand Parade on Friday, May 22 in celebration of National Public Works Week.

Transportation & Public Works employees will be available to show off the equipment and talk to members of the public about the work they do and the services they provide.

Daycare groups, children accompanied by parents, and school groups are welcome to come out and see what a Tonka play land looks like in real life. They can expect to see: a dump truck, snow plow, sidewalk snow machine, backhoe, street sweeper, skid steer loader, line marker truck, sidewalk litter-cleaning machine, sewer cleaner, lawn tractor and a tree trimmer truck.

When:     Friday, May, 22, rain or shine

Where:   Grand Parade, in front of City Hall

Time:      10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
