Southend Halifax Road Construction

(Monday, June 1, 2009)— Attention motorists, on or about Tuesday, June 2nd, South Park St. from Fenwick to South St. will be reduced to northbound traffic only.

The duration of construction is approximately 3 months.

There will be no on street parking in the work zone. One lane, one way north bound (in bound) traffic will be maintained on the East side of South Park St.
There will be no south bound (outbound) traffic on South Park St. in the work zone.


Traffic entering South Park Street from Fenwick Street will be restricted to right turns only. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Please note, all shops and services adjacent to the work zone will remain open during the construction period.

Municipal service disruptions, if required, will be kept to a minimum duration and affected residents and businesses will be notified in advance.


Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption.


The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7:00am to 6:00pm, with weekends as required.
