Public Presentation: Bedford Waterfront Urban Design Study

(Tuesday, June 9, 2009) - Halifax Regional Municipality and Waterfront Development Corporation Limited are seeking feedback on three alternative urban design plans for Bedford Waterfront developed through recent public consultation.

Location: Basinview Community School (cafeteria), 273 Basinview Drive, Bedford

This presentation is one of many opportunities for community involvement in the urban design process. Consultants were engaged to conduct urban design studies for two areas bordering the shoreline of Bedford Basin. The Bedford Waterfront study area encompasses lands in the vicinity of the intersection of Hammonds Plains Road and the Bedford Highway and the Birch Cove Study area encompasses lands in the vicinity of the Kearney Lake Road/Bedford Highway.

The Birch Cove Presentation will take place Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 7 p.m. at St. Peter’s Anglican Church 3 Dakin Drive, Halifax.
